Und hier ist es, das allerallerallersuperste Bild des Jahres 2007:

Zur Begründung:

Immerhin, Platz drei ging nach Deutschland und auch hier lag die größte Herausforderung der Auswahlkommission darin, ihre Begeisterung in Worte zu fassen:

Wieso “Mediocre”? Haben die da die mittelmäßigsten Bilder gewählt?

Dsa Eichhörnchen ist nicht nur ein schönes Foto, sondern auch ein schönes Zeugnis einer aussterbenden Art. Bei uns gibt es schon fast keine roten Eichhörnchen mehr, nur noch die größeren graubraunen amerikanischen Geschwister.

@Michael (2): Ich bin ja nicht ganz blöd :-). Ich finde nur das Wortspiel suboptimal, da es in meinen Augen eine Herabsetzung ist. Wäre vielleicht passend wenn man die Wikimedia beleidigen will, aber in dem Zusammenhang?

@Maltefan (1): Natürlich sind das prinzipiell schöne, richtig belichtete, farbenprächtige Bilder.
Schöne, richtig belichtete, farbenprächtige Bilder dieser Art finden sich aber auch im Jahreskalender der Martin-Luther-Gemeinde Bergisch-Gladbach.
Himmel, ist das denn so schwer?!
