Das Experiment ist in sofern interessant, als es die kommerzielle Pop-Musik mit all seinen Textbausteinen aus hohlen Phrasen entlarvt. Ja, der Song ist mainstream. Aber er ist in gewisser Weise auch erschreckend.

Naja, ob ein kommerzieller Download wirklich genauso häufig runtergeladen worden wäre, wage ich doch zu bezweifeln. Von gängigen Gruppen/Songs hebt sich das Ganze ja nicht wirklich ab und kostenlos läd man auch mal was runter was man nur mittelmäßig findet. Den Community-Gedanken dieser Idee mal ganz außen vor gelassen.

Aber die Werbewirkung für die Band dürfte in der Tat enorm sein, jetzt sollte möglichst schnell ein richtig cooler Song mit Video bei YouTube auftauchen, dann könnte das klappen mit größerer Bekanntheit. Könnte.

Aber dieses Experiment gefällt mir wirklich außerordentlich. Hätte man mit Heavy Metal auch machen können. Da sind die Texte eh häufig “Reizwortgeschichten”: Dragon, Sword, Fist, Heavy Metal, Power und Sign und fertig ist die Laube ;-)
