crowdvoice.org

Also: Post some links!

Hi there! Thanks for checking out the site :)

The search for „NATO“ and „Africa“ doesn’t work because the search’s intention is to find topics – not to find specific content within these topics. For example, „Libya“ works because there’s a topic about Libya, but there are no topics about NATO, although within the Libya voice it contains a lot of information about NATO, etc. We felt it was important for us to simplify the search to show what people are protesting about, and not what is happening in the news (which people can use a normal search engine for.)

We are introducing a huge redesign of the service within the next few weeks, it’s a massive improvement from the current functionality of the site and is focused on user engagement. We look forward to any further feedback!

@#788826: Hi Esra’a, thanks for replying directly!

I understand what you’re trying to achieve, however, I found it a little irritating since we’re all so used to the way we search on the net … keywords, mainly.

I’m looking forward to the relaunch, please feel free to let me know so we can post an update here as well.

All the best, keep up the great work!
